About Us
Faced with economic challenges Gwinnett has exhibited unparalleled growth in population and diversity for the past several years. The Gwinnett Parks Foundation has risen to the challenge, seeking additional funds from alternative sources in order to continue offering scholarships to youth and senior citizens, scholarships are granted on an as needed basis for swim lessons, youth sports programs, camps and events for children ages infant to 15 and senior citizens ages 50 and up. Corporate challenge events, 5K races, tennis camps and other events have been hosted by the Gwinnett Parks foundation to continue supporting the ever-growing need for scholarships to parks and recreation programs.
Members of the Gwinnett Parks Foundation have given freely of their time and talents to provide for other citizens needs. The theme “neither child nor senior citizen should do without recreation opportunities due to financial difficulties”, is an ongoing thought in each members’ mind and heart.
